Andy You're a Star
Later on I will explain the title of my blog "All I want is a bowl of Cocoa Pebbles", but for now, I want to dedicate my first post to Andy.
Well, I did not know how to start off my blog, so I decided to post on the topic of Andy Alexander. Andy passed away on 4-20-05 at age 17, after being broadsided by an 18-wheeler. He was due to graduate this June, but left his legacy for all of the other graduates. Andy was the crazy, goofy, spontaneous kid who never had an enemy. He waltzed into my life with electric blue hair and a Ramone's tee shirt about 4 years ago. Without going into detail about mine and Andy's friendship, I would like to say that he was one of those people that lit up the room with his humor and personality. I refuse to go into any detail regarding Andy's funeral which was a horrible experience for many of Model High's past and present students. Only because he leaves behind so much more than that.We all lead very different lives, but at the age that I am currently at, I wish that we could have all been as wise as Andy when it comes to our outlook on life itself. Andy always said that he never had any regrets, or never cared how he could be judged, and continued to live each day as if it were his last. Andy made such a huge impact on so many people, and will continue doing so through his spirit.I guess in starting the blog, I wanted this to be my first post. My life has changed since I met Andy, and it will continue to change. Those who did not know Andy are very unfortunate, for he was a person who was like no other, and he made an empty space that will never be filled.
